My toes dug into the soft sand. Curling around the small grains, the white fairness of them practically smoothing out my skin. I tilted my head, my cheek resting on my bare shoulder. The sun shown bright in the sky. Though it wasn't summer yet, it felt like it. my legs extended, my unnatural somewhat pale skin, only a shade darker then the sand I lay on. I bit my lip in thought, my head falling back a little to look at the sky. The strong rays of light from the sun highlighted my face even more. If I got a tan that would be great. It wasn't that I was extremely pale. I was just, lighter skinned than most girls. And to tell you the truth, it kinda bugged me.
I leaned back on my hands, my shoulder long reddish brown hair falling down my back. My gaze fell to the pad of paper beside me. The page was blank, and an eraser and a few pencils were scattered beside it. I rolled my eyes and, shaking my head, looked in the opposite direction. I watched as other people my age played on the beach, with boyfriends and girlfriends I assumed. Laughing and splashing in the water. They shouldn't be doing that. Wasn't that what little kids did? I sighed and looked down at my bathing suit, a small lime green and black plaid bikini. I brushed some sand of my leg. Now I was never one to wear a bikini, but my boss had bought it for me, and her, being the only person I really trusted in my life, I took it. She had told me to come here. Take a day off from work and relax. So far this sucked. It was boring, and the sun was really hot. I had no book, umbrella, or even a towel. Just a pad of paper some pencils and my work clothes which, just happened to be crumpled in a pile beside my feet. This was my first time at a beach that I could remember, and so far, my impression was not good.

The sun kissed his golden flesh and dried the saltwater that trickled down his legs. The spring breeze ruffled his short hair and caused his grey pools to close halfway. A fun smile stretched upon his lips as he ran back from the sea, holding a football in his wide hands. Aiming at a group of boys several yards away he threw it and let it soar across the blue sky. The boys caught it and began to run, kicking up sand and yelling excitedly all awhile. They threw the football back but this time the young man who had first flung it missed. It landed with a thud right in front of a red haired girl. Travis sucked his teeth and jogged over to her. Casually he stopped near the ball and tried to muster an apologetic grin. His palm and fingers closed in around the football and he said, sorry about that. Travis Gibbons decided not to wait for a reply and turned around to face the sun once more. But then he blinked and peeped a look back at her over his shoulder. His cloudy eyes gazed for a moment at her green and black plaid bikini. damn. Travis licked his lips and decided to try and wait a bit. Maybe she would talk back?

I licked my lips. The sun was beating down, and my lips were chapping. I didn't have any chapstick though, considering I came here last minute. I sighed. Lifteing a hand to my face I brushed away a strand of hair. I wish I had my music, then I could relax and... I almost jumped. Out of my perif I could see a object come flying in my direction and land beside me. Its inpact sprayed a little sand on my legs. I looked at the object puzzled. A football? I lifted my gaze to see a boy come running and pick it up. He gave me a grin and spoke an apology. I watched as he turned. Was he guna leave? I eyed his body. He wasn't that bad looking, but looks weren't everything. Realizing I was staring, I scrambled to my feet. Oh..uh, no its alright. I bent down and picked up my pile of work clothes and sketch pad. I stuggled to hold all of my possesons. I was just leaving. I gave a half grin, and turned to leave. My sketch book fell from my arms and landed in a crumpled little heap at his feet. I frozen, bitting my bottom lip I gazed up at him, my head still down. I didn't want to reach down and get it, but I really didn't want him to get it. I didn't want to start another relationship. After the last one, I don't think I ever will again....

Oh..uh, no its alright, those words came with a delightful feeling in his gut. Travis turned halfway and stood rather relaxed and calmly. Though his eyes had no relations with his body because they pasted around the girl as she bent to pick up her things. He blinked away as the female arose with books and clothes stuffed in her arms. Wait was she leaving? I was just leaving. And if the red haired girl hadn't given him that half grin he would of been dissapointed. Travis shifted the football between his hands and his jaw clentched for a second. Lost my rabbit. Thump, her book landed on the soft sand. Its pages crumpled againts the breeze. It was awkward as she stood there, looking hesitant. Though the wolf in him crooned lowely, she stood cute looking. Travis pushed that aside because it was his chance again. Here i'll get that for yeh he offered as he retreaved her book. Travis placed the football under his arm and carefully wiped away the sand from the cover. He was about to give it back but then an idea came to him. Here why dont I help you? Travis asked her when he glanced at the many things in her arms. Hey girls dug helpful men right? Well at least human girls did. Usually his kind liked the vicious guys, the ones who were sharped edged creatures. So because of this Travis was forced to become quite arrogant and cocky, a bit of a mischief maker if you will. There was jostling and the calling of his name from behind. His friends wanted the football back. He surpressed a snarl, didnt they see he was trying to get a girl? Determined not to miss, especially not in front of the female, he threw the football back to them and gave them a catch you later wave.

shit.I watched as he picked up my book, brushing of the pages. he looked as if he was going to give it back but then he offered to help, trowing his football back to his other peers. I hugged my clothes tighter to my chest. Um..well... I dug my toes into the sand. My gaze fell to the ground. I had lots of errands to run. And I was pretty sure he would not like to tag along. After all they were kinda boring. Actually... I looked back up at him, squinting a little in the sunlight. Hold this for a minute. I placed my pencils on my book that he held. I draped my thin blouse over his hand. I didn't really care if he held it or not, I just needed to rest it somewhere. I pulled the jeans that were in my hands over my legs. My feet stuck out at the bottom of the dark jeans. I straightened my pant leg, and standing to full height, reached for my blouse. Thanks for the offer.... I grabbed the white cloth and pulled it over my arms. But I have errands to run. I looked at him with a little smile, folding down my collar. I pulled my hair out from around my neck, letting it rest on the shoulders of my blouse. Now if you don't mind, I'd like to get my stuff back. I looked up at him. He was taller than me...a lot. Not a whole foot or anything, but half of one I'd assume. I tilted my head to the side, waiting for him to hand me my things. My fingers came to my face and tucked some hair behind my ear. A small wind blew, my shirt ruffled from it. I pulled the sides together, not wanting to button it. My bikini top showed through the thin white material.

Travis Gibbons was growing more daring with this girl. She seemed shy, he could handle that. He thought irritably about the other vicious girls he tried to tackle. There were faint claw marks on his back to prove it. Though he would be patient with her. It was a relief to be patient with someone. Where he could actually sort of dominate the situation. Humans were like that, easy to dominate. In dismay he began to think that this female might indeed be just a human. Though something ticked in his brain, just wait and see. But he wouldnt have much chance to think about it because what she was doing now made his mind go blank. He hadnt noticed the books that he now held in his helping hand. Travis blinked and tried to hide the silly grin that wanted to show across his face. The female was dressing back into her clothings. There was something that captivated him as she slid the blouse back on. He enjoyed the quick glimpses of her belly and rump. Was she smiling? damn thats nice. But then, now if you don't mind, I'd like to get my stuff back. What!? Travis couldnt hide the surprised look on his face. He shifted his feet and tried to cooly hand her things back. When she had all her pocessions he crossed his arms and tilted his head. You sure? His grey eyes wavered over to the bikini that showed beneath the white cloth. Well uh Travis said trying to somehow make her stay a bit longer if possible. Name's Travis by the way, he extended his hand and tried to give her one of his smiles. Wait a second! If this girl was really a human he could easily show off his personality. He didnt need to be careful to make a wrong move and receive a snap on the shoulder. This will probably prove to be easier than putting on reins on a horse.

He reaction was what I expected. A rejection which, of course for him, being good looking and all, was probably not used to being rejected. I got a little satisfaction from that. I almost giggled as he tried to come back from my answer and hand me my things. I grabbed them, and like before hugged them to my chest. Name's Travis by the way. So he had a name? I watched as he extended his hand. Taln. I grabbed his hand and gave it a firm shake. I dropped my hand back to my thigh, rubbing the fabric with my finger tips. I looked down at the sand, somewhat embarrassed. I didn't know why I suddenly felt like this. Maybe I just felt bad for him. He looked as if here were trying so hard to get a conversation going. Maybe I could give in just a little. Make him happy? Why not. I rocked back onto my heels, and returned my gaze to Travis. I brought my hand to my face, tapping the bottom in my lip with my finger. Well.... I looked up at the sky. Thinking of how to start a conversation. I didn't do it much, so it was harder for me. I guess I could stay a little longer. My gaze fell behind him to all the people playing in the ocean, and in the sand. I rocked back to my toes, bouncing a little. I've actually..uh..never been to a beach before. I gritted my teeth and raised my brows. This is my first time. I bite my lip, a little excited. Travis seemed like he knew the beach. Maybe he could show me something that would make my trip worth while.

Taln. Nice Travis thought pleasantly. He watched her look hestingly around. Her bright eyes were mighty fine. Her hair looked ablazed under the sun. This suddenly took his mind to the day he had met his first vampire. Vampires in his experiance were beautiful creatures but an enemy as well. He came upon a female when he was out running with his fellows a few months ago. She had been a spiteful temptress. Still he would get irritated when he remembered being fooled by her. But no Taln couldnt be a vampire. His instinct would of immidiatly arise if the enemy was before him. Ok whoa thinking too much? The problem was that he was actually stumped. Usually he could pick up the race of anyone. But this Taln was good. Too good. Travis felt excited, finally something hard but at the same time easy to work with. What? First time going to the beach? Travis Gibbons repeated tilting his head slightly but trying not to look like a curious cub. First time eh? he said rubbing his chin. He rubbed his hands and continued, I reckon you aint from these parts then. Travis smiled at her though as if trying to reassure her that nothing was wrong for seeing the beach for the first time. Well hey wanna go boogie boardin' or somethin? Running a hand down his hair he added, I cant surf much, thats my sister's job.

Travis seemed kind. He was cute enough, but it wasn't always what was on the outside that counted. I would have to see just how good his personalty was before making any big decisions. Well hey wanna go boogie boardin' or somethin? Boogie boardin? I had heard about it but I didn't know much.I cant surf much, thats my sister's job. Now surfing.. I was clueless. Umm...yeah Boogie boarding..sure. I lifted my hand then let it fall with a small slapping sound onto my leg. I glimpsed around behind me. Uh..just let me, umm put my stuff down. I gave a half grin and held up my finger in a one moment sign, before dashing of toward a bench someway off. Gosh it has been a long time since I was with a guy... I put my pencils and sketch pad on the bench. No one would take. I knew that for a fact. Who would take art? I gave a little chuckle, and turned around, heading back to Travis. Wind blew my hair back as I approached. I smiled up at him, squinting a little form the sun. Lets do this. I pulled my hand through my reddish hair as I passed him. My blouse billowed out behind me as I mad my way down to the shore. I hadn't had enough courage to come this far yet. But i guess there's a time for everything. The sand was hot beneath my feet, and a I stepped quickly to avoid being burned. When I reached the muddy part of the shore I dug my toes in. The cool, dampness of the sand felt good on my hot feet. Only then did I realize i still had on my clothes. I quickly brought my hands to my pants top, unbuttoning the button and sliding the jeans down my legs. In only a few moments I had slipped the pants on my body and tossed them up on the dry sand.

Yea sure Travis told her when she had mentioned putting her things down. If he had a tail it would of been wagging a million times per second. He couldnt stop grinning as she came on back looking irrisitable. Oh right the boards. Um. Travis followed her to the squishy area near the waters and looked around. Ah yes, his 'base camp'. Hold on a minute Ill get us some boards he told Taln before heading off to where his towel, radio, and three boogie boards were. Though he double took a glance on the way there. Taln was sliding off into her bikini again. A monster purred in him. Travis jogged back with the boards. He handed one to her and then adusted the strap to his own around his wrist. Well first off, Travis began, those over there are called waves. He said it slow but teasingly. Winking he smirked, just kidding, but uh yea you just go up to the biggest wave and jump on it with your board.

I grabbed the board in my hand. Fumbling a little with the wrist band before wrapping it successfully around my wrist. Coping basically, what he did.
those over there are called waves. just kidding, but uh yea you just go up to the biggest wave and jump on it with your board.
I pursed my lips together, raising my brows. Ha-ha. I gave a little smile, then turned my head in the direction of the waves. A breeze blew, my air whipping back slightly. A gave a little humph before stepping forward. The cool water hit my feet. It scent a shiver up my spine. But it was a good shiver. It felt..right. I grin crept onto my face as I stepped further in. Soon enough I had wadded up to my waist. Hopping as the waves cave, so not to be pulled under. My blouse was sticking tight ot my skin where the water had hit it. I had forgotten to take it off, but it didn't bother me much. I had plenty more at home and this seemed like it could be fun.
I turned around, my board held to the water in front of me. The waves lapping at my back, and the wind blowing my air over my face. I lifted a hand, tucking it behind my ear. Well, come on! I gave a little chuckle. I was not doing this before he did. He would have to be un-gentleman like, and go first.
