The beach happened to be one of the best places for Scott's "sport." Something about the location truly brought out the oddities of people. Perhaps they found the area more...freeing. Allowing themselves to behave differently than they might on the street. Perhaps the lack of concealing clothing made them more open. He found it all rather odd and somewhat disturbing in what some wore so easily. Not at all flattering. This was certainly one of the better days to watch people. The sun dipped toward the horizon, making the water glisten a fiery orange. As the hour grew later, some of the more interesting characters were making their appearance, along with the remaining normal families.
He stretched his legs out in front of him as he focused on one person who seemed to find it utterly entertaining to cover their friend with sand. If he was the friend, he certainly wouldn't find it so amusing. The many places sand could make a home in without the aid of that friend was enough for him. He shook his head slightly, pushing back his hair as he focused on the ocean. He leaned forward, the sun warming the tattoo stretching down his back. He sifted the sand through his fingers, deciding to go for a run as it got later. He dropped back into the sand, resting his arms beneath his head, his eyes drifting close. He focused on the sound of the water, pushing away the shrieks and laughter of those around him. He allowed his senses to dull, allowed himself to be unaware of everything but the water.

Pale legs walked onto the cold sand, followed by the torso and head of a young woman. She was wearing a one-piece black swimsuit and a black jacket over it. Her blond hair fell down and a hat covered her face. This was her day time, her life, at the beach, alone, and at night. She sat down and closed her pale blue eyes, sighing deeply and wishing she would just go to sleep already. The sun was almost gone and people were leaving, making rude remarks towards her, and some were just walking around helplessly. All JA did was glare at them with a disgusted look. Poor human race, I really don't feel sorry for them she said, folding her knees up and placing her hands around them.
Her head went back against the sand and she placed her hands behind her head, closing her eyes again, trying to sleep. I'll never find peace, never she thought.
ooc; I think I'm gonna start posting xD I have worse muse D:

His golden eyes opened as he listened to the people start their departures. He pushed himself up a little, watching them gather their belongings. His face scrunched up as little children screeched and complained about leaving so quickly. He hated children, couldn't stand them. All that whining and crying really grated on his nerves. He thought perhaps he'd never have children..wished for it really. Maybe that'd change if he ever found the right person. He ran a hand through his hair, brushing the sand from it. He watched the stragglers make their exit before only a few people were left. His eyes wandered across all of them before they settled on the girl laying in the sand. Interesting.
He could sense that she was like him, with his ever sensitive nose. It'd been awhile since he'd come in contact with another of his kind. Not surprising considering he kept to himself mostly. It was more peaceful that way. He wasn't one to approach others, always finding such situations awkward. He studied her for a moment from this distance, his eyes sliding over her figure, like any man was apt to do. He pushed himself to his feet, his eyes still lingering upon her as he began to stretch himself out, preparing for a jog. Perhaps a run in his fur once the night grew later.

She brought herself up, unable to rest. Pale blue eyes searched the area again, almost glaring at everyone. They rested on a paticular man that seemed to be looking at her. I hate men she thought, crossing her legs and placing her hands on them. I mean, what's there to look at. I'm just a girl..
Jennifer wanted to walk around and start reading her book, but she didn't have it with her. "Oh well.." she murmured to herself, getting up and stretching. Her gaze was turning back to the other person on the beach various times. She just stood there, standing was a bit awkward with JA, she was always taller than the rest and she always perferred to be blended then to be watched at all the time. Now was than time she wished that she was 4 feet tall again and just about 5 years old.
Jennifer threw her hat on the sand and took her jacket off, making her ways towards the dark blue ocean. Placing her feet in it, she waded in until it was about halfway up her body. She walked in more and splashed under the water, surfacing for air a bit later, smiling. Haven't been in the ocean for a while..

He couldn't help glancing at the girl again, as she removed her hat and jacket. He still was getting used to being close to another like him after so long. He studied her as she moved out into the water, watching her disappear then resurface with the water dripping down her face. All thoughts of jogging left his mind as he now moved out to the water, trying to appear casual, as if he had planned to do this the entire time. He was working up to speaking to her, feeling that acknowledging her more than just staring would be a pretty good idea. He'd discovered over the years that girls preferred to not be stared at as if they were an item..something to be bought or won.
He walked into the water, the waves hitting him in the chest as he got further out, closer to her. He dropped under the surface, swimming his way closer to her before resurfacing a few yards away. He shook his head, much like a dog would, shoving his hair back with his hands as it dangled and dripped into his eyes. He moved a little closer, "Hello," he said finally, almost awkwardly. He rarely approached people, allowing them to make the first move, but he took the initiative this time.

Jennifer smiled and splashed a bit in the water, almost laughing. The sound of that childish thing seemed much more happier to her, now that she was trying to be more...well, not emo. JA watched the man again warily, Oh gosh, please, no. I don't want to talk with anybody now. she thought, shrugging. She caught his scent, he was like her, or so she thought. Man, it's been forever since I was with another. thought Jennifer, smiling again. As he got closer she still knew he was staring at her. Why, she couldn't find out, though. Men were clueless, crazy humans that like to get their own way. Jennifer noticed she as watching him too, and she quickly splashed down under the water. Such a fool. JA resurfaced for air and she looked at him, now closer than she would like it.
"Hello,"
"Hi. I'm Jennifer." she muttered, feeling her cheeks redden a bit. Gosh! I'm blushing, idiot.

Scott felt rather pleased when she didn't completely ignore him..he half expected her to. He continued to keep his distance from her, keeping the few yards of separation. If she was like him, she wouldn't like anyone being in her space. Though most didn't need as much space as he did. He tried not to study her too closely as she spoke, though the faintest of smiles crossed his face as her face reddened. It amused him really. He wondered about her reaction, why she had reacted like that. He stared off across the water for a moment before fixing his eyes back on hers, which seemed midway between wolf and human, "Scott," he responded, as introduction for himself. "Nice to meet you, Jennifer," he said, speaking in his own calm manner, though his voice at times seemed almost rough. He paused, debating on his purpose for even approaching her..he felt rather like an idiot for coming over to her. He thought quickly, trying to come up with some reason for making his approach, his brow furrowing slightly.

Jennifer had a soft expression on her face, it's been a while since anybody came up to her and spoke, especially a male.
"Scott,"
She gave a small nod, smiling. Scott.. she thought, letting her mind sink it in.
"Nice to meet you, Jennifer,"
"You too, Scott. But, um, why are you here? I don't think I've seen you before." she said, shrugging. Jennifer wanted to swim right now, get underwater, maybe with the ocean life. It would be fun swimming with the dolphins now and then. JA hardly blushed and her reaction was weird to her anyways, so alone by herself most of the time, reading or drawing she seemed oblivious to the human world.

Scott hesitated, his mind still working furiously, "Ah...I was here to take a run," he said after a moment, "I'm sort of new to the city, I suppose. And I'm a bit of a recluse anyway," he added. He wanted to kick himself for that last comment. Make the girl thing he was a hermit, always a way to attract people. He almost laughed at himself, the faintest of smiles lingering on his lips. He shook his head, "Not that I um...refuse contact with anyone..it's just nice to be alone sometimes," he managed, trying to patch up his recluse statement. He gave her a slight smile, "Sorry if I've disturbed you. I just haven't come in contact..with one of us..in awhile." He paused again, his head tilting ever so slightly, his more wolf-like characteristics making themselves known, as they often did around others like him.

"Ah...I was here to take a run,"
"Oh, I see." she said, her smile unfaltering. "I'm sort of new to the city, I suppose. And I'm a bit of a recluse anyway," Jennifer shrugged, "I've been here all my life..." she muttered almost distantly.
"Not that I um...refuse contact with anyone..it's just nice to be alone sometimes," "I like being alone. Shutting myself out of the world, just reading." said JA, looking at him.
"Sorry if I've disturbed you. I just haven't come in contact..with one of us..in awhile."
"Oh, don't worry about it. I haven't either, since I was a little baby girl, and when my parents..." Blue eyes seemed out of the world as she thought about her parents, she soon snapped back to reality and looked back at Scott. I'm weird..

(Sorry for the lat reply >.<)
He gave her a hesitant smile, rubbing a hand through his hair, a habit of his. His mother had always teased him that such a habit would end up making him prematurely bald. He studied her a moment, noticing the distant look that came to her eyes as she spoke of her parents..trailing off. He could guess what happened to them, and he didn't pry. He didn't usually. He managed to pull up another smile as she came back to the present, "You mentioned reading...what have you read recently? I'm actually a bit of a reader myself.." He could very often be found with his nose in a book when he was having one of his moments alone.

"You mentioned reading...what have you read recently? I'm actually a bit of a reader myself.."
"Um...Well. I've been reading this excellent book, but it's not from the US, let alone here. It's in a different language, German. The title is something like 'The Seen and Unseen; Stories of the Living Dead' or something like that. It lists stories from all over the world, it's excellent really, I got it as a birthday gift." she said, a deep red settling on her pale blackened cheek. Whenever she did something with the water, JA always put on waterproof make-up.
"Sorry I'm so talkative, I am not like this on my good days." muttered Jennifer, "Where'd you come from?" asked the girl, wanting to dissolve into the water. The sun was at it lowest point, looking like a big firey island somewhere in the distance.
