There was a deep silence that fell across the forest. For there was a hunter afoot. A meat killer. Her bright yellow eyes penatrated the dark canvas around her like headlights. Audits were pressed forth, twitching at the slightest noises that held suspicious danger. The female's ebony torso was tense and tight like the legs that drifted her quietly across the grounds. She was a beautiful beast. A large wolf to a sleepy camper or drunk man. She was Roxanne the young Loup-Garou. She knew these forests like the back of her paw. It was a favorite place to run and catch some air. Roxanne's muzzle lifted towards the heavens. No full moon was out tonight but it was still a good night. She whipped her tail placidly and took a refreshing gulp of fresh air before growing tense again. The hunt. The wolf continued down the trail, now following a particular rich scent of rabbit. Hmm rabbit she thought, hadnt had one of those in moons. It was true. The final year of highschool was taking its toll on her. She was being drowned with homework and tests. And she had few to help her. For she kept to herself at school. Besides how could a werewolf interact naturally with humans? Of course there were other werewolves but she was usually too shy too approuch them. Roxanne rolled her eyes at the thought of her shy nature. In her fur she was herself, friendly, outgoing, and daring. The scent was becoming stronger now. Her chops began to get wet and her leathery nose was dialating like crazy. Though she wouldnt have the taste of warm rabbit in her mouth because something stopped her dead in her tracks. Roxanne stood stiff legged and quivering under the trees that whispered above her. Is it another werewolf? was the first hopeful thought. But one could never be certain. Feeling irritable at the thought of changing back to a human she did so. shit no clothes she whispered looking down at her bare breasts. Looking around frantically she spotted a rather thick bush and leapt in. Her yellow eyes peered through the foilage, piercing and glassy.

Grevant silently watches the wolf and it's actions, almost certain from his uncanny skill that he had found one. His instinct, along with the reading from his thermal vision goggles, strongly suggest he had found a werewolf. Of course his instinct and technology could be mistaken, for he was a great distance away, watching through the scope of his SV-98.
All through the night Grevant pondered on if to shoot, he then realized, tracking is the better solution as the wolf may lead him to a pack, which essentially means more werewolves.
Suddenly, the wolf stoppped. And changed into, apparently, her human form. Stunned by the beauty of the werewolves human form, Grevant took his eyes from his scope thinking, wow, that is a truly beautiful creature, in both worlds Suddenly realizing his mistake he looked back into his scope to find his view empty. d**n I lost her. With a few choices now readily at hand, Grevant decides to leave his SV-98 behind, thinking, Not like I don't have enough of those anyways And starts to head down to the spot where he had last seen the werewolf. Now thinking to himself, I shouldn't sneak up or come up to tacfuly, it will actually make it seem like I'm hunting her, maybe I can talk to it. The werewolf won't know i'm out for her kind, or atleast I hope. Even with the reasured thought, Grevant made sure to have his Desert Eagle and Combat Knife at the ready. Here goes nothing....

From a clump of bushes, not far away from Grevant, but far enough to not be noticed, Jeff watched him closely, in his human form. He had followed the man all the way to where they were now, where Roxy was now. Roxy might not have known who Jeff was, but Jeff took it upon himself to watch over the younger werewolves and, when in need, help protect them.
Jeff watched as Roxy turned to human form, and run to a clump of bushes. He smiled when the man cursed and came out from his hiding place. Jeff shook his head. What a stupid thing to do, Jeff though. For all the man knew there could be dozens of werewolves, watching him as Jeff does now.
Needing to act now, Jeff removed some clothes from his sack; the clothes of a park range he nicked. He threw them over his body, being careful not to loosen the knives he had hiding under his sleeves, at both his wrists and his ankles. He placed a gun in his pants, covered it with his shirt, and came out of his bushes, making sure to get on the path, so it seemed he was just an innocent bystander.
"Is there something I could help you with sir? If you need any directions, I would be glad to help,"Jeff said to the man, with a southern drawl. He took pride in his ability to disguise himself.

Roxanne bared her teeth and pulled back deeper into the bushes when she heard voices drift her way. Male. But were they werewolves? She tried to take in some air, perhaps get information out of the two. But all that filled her nostrils was the smell of bark and rabbit. The wind curled around her arms, she shivered from nervous excitement. Maybe if they werent her kind she would set herself upon them. Fierce yellow eyes flickered with amusement, I could get away with it. As Roxanne waited for what was to come she felt the call of the trail. Maybe she could sprint out of here. They would think its some bear or something. But what if they were hunters? Roxanne's claws dug into the soft earth, she felt ready for anything. There was a clicking of metal. The fine hairs on her back were beginning to sprout and bristle. The curly, light bay hair on her head was beginning to get speckled with stray leaves. Well maybe she would be hiding here for a while. Crouching low she tightened her lean muscels and felt the momentary pleasure of the crunchy dirt beneath her. She wondered what her brother would do in this situation. Her brother, Travis. She sneered at the thought of him. Why didnt he call her? Its been moons since she had last seen him. That son of a bitch she snarled inwardly.

Stunned, and suddenly feeling extremely vulnerable to anything, by the siting of another man. Grevant quickly stiffened back up, while making sure his weapons were concelead, of course hard to do, with the other equipment on inventory. To not look to suspicious Grevant instantly replied "No, no. I'm fine, I'm just out wandering the forest and working.., my um, 'apparel' is a reasurence that I don't run into any bears..or other things, if you were curious. I know its not everyday a hunter or bystander wears black ops style apparel.."
While replying to the man, many thoughts came to mind. Where the hell did he come from, how long has he been watching me, and how the hell did I not track him, Surely the short range scanners would have picked up something, especially another human, unless.... he's one of them. I can't tell for certain either.. if I reach for my thermal goggles he'll suspect i'm out for werewolves, and if he's one that may make things a little ugly, I think I should play it cool for now.
Attempting to end the conversation: "and if you don't mind I need to get back to my task at hand."
While saying this Grevant, became more alert, weapons readily available for use, but still concealed. Grevant began wondering How many others are there, and how many could there be out here tonight.
Putting the thoughts aside, Grevant now starts moving back towards his original interest point....

Jeff smiled at the man. Jeff knew of the equipment the man had on him. Perhaps, with a stroke of luck, he could lie about his true identity and allow Roxy to escape.
Deciding to lie about his identity, Jeff approached the man."Your inquiry is not here. It has already escaped. I have been tracking down the beast, just as much as you,"Jeff told the man, being straight forward. Hopefully he believed him. If not, Jeff would have to think quickly.

Thinking to himself Smart little bugger heh? Fortunately I know my quarry hasnt escaped..
"I hate to counter your judgement, but my trackers, would have picked up 'her' movement. And I'm starting to believe your not who you look to be."
Moving a little bit away from the 'man', Grevant silently clicks his desert eagles' safety off, while pretending to scratch his leg, still keeping it out of sight.
"why would a park ranger be tracking something, your not with the special groups, you have the uniform of a normal ranger. Now if you excuse me I need to continue on my quarry."

Maybe... Roxanne was careful in her tread. She slithered quietly and carefully towards a nearer bush. There she would get a good view of them. The only sound was her claws slowly sinking into the dirt as she slunk. It was painful but she finally made it. Time for a better look. Lifting her head and peering between a thin branch she received a look of her persuers. Roxanne gulped back a yelp of surprise. She indeed recognized one of them. That Jeff guy. Her invisible tail whipped and nose twitched in a suspicious way. What was he doing? The other man, he was human alright. The smell of him told her immidiatly. Once again her teeth bared themselves but this time in panic. That Jeff better get out of there. Snap! Roxanne's heart stopped. She had stepped lightly on a twig. Oh no she whispered backing up deeper into the small bush. The werewolf knew she was making more noise now.

Jeff's keen hearing heard Roxy move, a twig snapping. He had to think quickly.
"Oh how ignorant we are. Of course I'm not a park range, you fool. I'm one of you, a hunter. I don't need dance weaponry as you do, to hunt. One gun, and a few knives are good for me." Jeff told him, approaching him, his hand out raised. His anger came out a bit and Jeff mentally slapped himself.
"I am Jeff. And you are?" He asked the man, his arm still outstretched.

Grevant stood for a minute thinking to himself, This figure seems a little on edge, I wonder what hes trying to hide... or perhaps protect. I think it'd be best to play along. In a very low whisper Grevant spoke. "A Hunter, heh? Most hunters I see don't dress like park rangers, of course, i'm dressed like a special ops myself, hah. And the weapons, and tech aren't needed, they are just very valuable assests. And if you must know, the name is Grevant. " As he was introducing himself he also reached out with his hand to meet the others.
Still speaking low: "Now if you dont mind, I'd kindly like you to be quiet just for a second, I swear I heard something....something nearby." now thinking to himself Whatevers going on here, it soon going to be revealed, I feel I may be caught in the paths of just more then one. And If there is something moving, its moving very slowly.... otherwise the scaners would have picked it up.. the time to make a move is drawing.. ever to closer..

I swear I heard something....something nearby. Roxanne's face was now pressed againts the earth as well as her body. It was twisted uncomfortaly but if she dared move another hair it could mean death. The female felt irked at her decision to have a better look at these men. Now she would most likely die. How could she possibly escape out of this one. A cornered rabbit was what Roxanne was. A few moments passed and a sweat drop trickled down her neck. An idea was slowly crawling its way forth in her mind. A daring dangerous move. But it was the only way. Though the idea was stopped by the thought of just sitting here and waiting for them to pass. No she thought, her scrunched up position was too painful and she had to move. Roxanne pulled her body in close. Eyes flashed gold while black ears sprouted out of her skull. Her thick, curly bay hair turned dark like the rest of her torso. Fingers stretched and contracted, forming into armed paws. Now came the part where she could be revealed, an unvoluntary growl ripped through her as she was released into her final form. The bushes cluttered and out leapt Roxanne. Her teeth were bared and her shadowy amber and black fur bristled. She ran for it. Speeding through the trees and into the night. I dare them to follow me she snickered.

Jeff saw Roxy's escape as like it was in slow motion. He watched as she streaked past him and Grevant. As she passed, his eyes met hers and, hopefully, she recognized who she was. He gave her the tiniest nod, and brought his attention back to Grevant.
Jeff made the tiniest of movements, acting out of shock, that put him between Grevant and the direction of which Roxy ran.
"No chance of catching her now. Once a werewolf is in a sense of alert, their senses are at it's peak and their body goes into overdrive, allowing them to run faster and also making them stronger. I know this, for I have studied the effect of werewolves captured by fellow hunters," Jeff explained, as he stared at the spot where Roxy disappeared.

Grevant now thinking to himself I would chase after her, but shes at a huge head start, much faster, and this damned 'hunter' moved in the way, I know he has to be one, he must be protecting her. But now is not the time..
"I suppose your right, and with this, I guess i'm off." And thinking, I know this isn't the last time I'll see you or her.
And with that last statement to, Jeff, Grevant started off, back home.

OOC: what no cool action packed chase? lo lxD Energy was flowing throughout her lean body. She was flying at top speed. The only sounds were of her paws thumping and crickets singing around her. The night was getting warm, a sure sign of summer. But then she stopped. Her toungue lolled out from her jaws. She faced the trail she had ran through. No one had persued her. Roxanne pranced happily at the spot. Good was her thought when she reared her head up proudly, no one messes with me. Roxanne continued through the deep woods. She was thinking. Jeff had given her a look of recognition and it made her wonder. Despite herself she stopped in her tracks and threw her muzzle into the air. A flat full note escaped her vocals and soared up to the tree tops. Roxanne was calling the other werewolf. She wanted to get a good picture of the guy. Maybe teach him a few things, she snarled at herself.

He watched the Hunter leave and smiled. He might have suspected him, but no worries. That wasn't the matter now. Now, he had to find Roxy and teach her a few things on how not to be followed.
As he disappeared into the trees behind him, he heard the call of a werewolf, and recognized it as Roxy's. It was instictive, as was it for all werewolves. He dropped to the ground, his spine shrinking. His head grew longer and he produced razor sharp teeth. His normally green eyes turned to a piercing yellow; the eyes of a hunter. His arms and legs shrunk, turning into powerful limbs of a werewolf. Finally, he sprouted a gray fur, that covered his whole body.
AS a werewolves, his senses were heightened to unnatural levels. He could hear the soft sound of rabbits and squirrels hundreds of yards away. He smelt the carcass of a fox and heard the sounds of predators ripping and thrashing the body, hundreds of yards away. Opposed to most werewolves, he developed some sort of control over his wild ways.
Following the sound of the cry, Jeff raced through the woods, running and dodging trees as nimble as ever. Once he smelt her scent, in a clearing, he waited for her to come out. As he waited, he slowed his breath and slowly turned back into a human. Knowing he would be naked once transformed, he gripped his pants in his jaws as he ran. He put these on, aware of his surroundings, waiting for Roxy to show.
